Michael Keeler LL.M (London) and PhD (Warwick), (recently a Teaching Member of the University of Warwick) personally provides expertise in all aspects of company and business law, and property law (commercial and domestic). He also advises on contractual issues (including pre-nuptial agreements), probate, wills and lasting powers of attorney.
In 1994 the University of London conferred on Michael the degree of Master of Laws (company law and commercial property primarily) and shortly afterwards the University of Warwick engaged his continuous part-time services, successively teaching and examining real property, company and public authority human rights law. Prior to this he gained considerable experience in Birmingham as a city centre law firm partner concurrently with being an equity partner in a London City law firm.
In November 2015 he was created Dr Michael Keeler when awarded a doctorate research degree, by the Senate at Warwick University, into corporate and other regulatory law under Professor John McEldowney, PhD (Cambridge), – a World class academic with World-wide professorial posts, and who is also an adviser to the Speaker of the House of Commons. In September 2016 Michael elected to discontinue his university lecturing post after 20 years there.
His referral network of further legal expertise, including litigation, is well established, initially via his consultant solicitor Siobhan Macnamara a principal partner of her own practice Macnamara King, solicitors, of Warwick. Complex litigation requiring large law firm resources is referred to Mark Abrol, Managing Partner of the Wilkes Partnership, Birmingham, a long standing professional friend.
Also in support is Keelers consultant solicitor, Sharon Johal, Head of Legal, Kuwait Investment Authority, City of London (EC4), a professional user of Keelers services for some years.
Michael’s practice, Keelers, is a full-time law firm based in the countryside close to Kenilworth, Balsall Common and Coventry with easy access to motorways.
